It has been SO LONG

Hello, my name is Masumi. Do you remember me? Because it has been SO LONG since I have posted. Life has been testing my limits of handling busy-ness so unfortunately I haven't been able to blog in such a long time. Before today I have been adjusting to working part-time and training for something called a Ragnar race, which is a 200 mile relay race from Huntington Beach to San Diego with a team of 12 runners. Although I got the shortest legs to run (we had to run three times in the span of 1.5 days), every spare minute I had was dedicated to doing house chores, working, cooking, cleaning and running.

Those of you who already know about my Facebook page might know that recently I did a product shoot for my friend Bonnie. She made these neat products called D20s (See here), and I had the opportunity to photograph them with the help of beautiful models, gorgeous dresses (see here for her designs) and of course the amazing craftiwork of Bonnie. Working on this shoot has helped be progress as a photographer, as an artist. I've learned to appreciate and utilize darkness in photos, keep details in my photos and be more in tune with what I want to shoot! Thank you to the whole crew who helped make this shoot happen :).

It is funny how ever since I pulled back from doing photography as a business I have been connecting with more people to do a shoot, and people have been inquiring with me! Photography life has been great lately.

This week I got to start working on the photos from the product shoot again (I had to stop for a few days due to running the Ragnar race). This might be one of my favorite photos so far. After this shoot I am so excited to start working on the other shoots that I recently got to shoot also!
